Opioid Receptor

Opioid Receptor

I feel those endorphins exploding now
Roaring up my spine
The blackened sea dividing right before my bow
Now the ocean's mine
My skin is falling off like a banana peel
In this caustic tank
The rush that follows suffering on its heel
Spins my cogs and cranks

We all try to touch them in so many ways
Some of us take drugs
Your brain produces chemicals every day
We're living as bugs
You can stop the paranoia hammering in
As you grab the knife
Write yourself a love poem in your skin
Seduce yourself with life
